 Any leader who has ever attempted to implement any new program or system knows first-hand that if the culture isn’t behind it, the change will fail. Culture is the key intangible in any organization and it is, by far, its most powerful force. Effective culture change is the key ingredient to bringing about successful integration of all organizational goals—productivity, results, customer satisfaction, profits, communication, trust, work-life and the health and happiness of its workforce. Yes, it’s that important.

THE ONE DECISION TRAINING APPROACH

At One Decision, we believe that culture change starts with the individual. We give each person a practical and powerful tool that they can implement immediately to empower them to improve their outlook, their performance and their relationships.

ONE DEPARTMENT AT A TIME

For larger organizations, the best way to effect culture change is to start with one department at a time. We begin with a series of workshops to introduce everyone to the One Decision trust-building process and then follow up with weekly sessions to review progress for approximately 90 days. During the follow-up sessions, we tackle real situations that occurred during the previous week and apply the One Decision tools so that everyone can understand and experience the results and benefits of the program. As these sessions progress, participants take an increasing amount of responsibility for facilitating their own answers and we intervene only when necessary.

TRAINING THE LEADER

An essential element is to get a leader at the department level to understand, believe in and master the One Decision trust-building approach to culture change. We’ll work as coach, trainer and personal advisor for approximately 90 days until the leader is fully up to speed so the changes can be sustained for lasting change.

MEASUREMENT

Culture change is an intangible, but it can and should be measured. Prior to the One Decision program, all participants answer a confidential survey where they rate morale, communication, trust, degree of excitement they have about work and other factors. Six months after the program has been in effect, we do a post-program survey using the same questions. We offer a 50 percent refund if the results do not meet or exceed expectations.
